How to Transfer Between Huntington Accounts
Manage your money efficiently and effectively by transferring between accounts in a variety of ways. Make one-time transfers or set up recurring, automatic transfers between Huntington accounts—such as a weekly transfer from checking to savings.
- Login
- Click Transfers
- Under "Between Huntington Accounts," click "Transfer Funds"
- Select Transfer From and Transfer To accounts
- Enter the Amount (Online Only: choose Frequency) and choose the Transfer Date
- (Online Only: Click Preview Transfer then) Click Submit Transfer
How to Transfer Money from Another Bank (Bank-to-Bank Transfers)
Make bank-to-bank transfers in online banking and the app by setting up access to the other bank account.
Note: At this time, bank-to-bank transfers only apply to Huntington personal checking accounts. Customers are unable to use a Huntington business checking account to transfer money to another bank.
Set up:
- Login
- Click Transfers
- Under “With Accounts at Other Banks,” click Connected Accounts
- Click the Connect Account button
- Select the Account Type, enter the Routing Number, enter the Account Number, confirm the Account Number, and add an Account Nickname (optional)
- Click the Connect Account button
- Verifying the other bank account: Huntington may be able to instantly verify the account. If not, you will be asked to verify small deposits to your account within one to two days. Or you may be directed to the other bank account(s) financial institution’s online banking where you will complete the verification via a username and password login.
- Once the other bank account is verified, you can begin transfers between that account and your Huntington Account
Make a bank-to-bank transfer:
- Login
- Click Transfers
- Under “With Accounts at Other Banks,” click Transfer Funds
- Select Transfer From and Transfer To accounts
- Enter the Transfer Amount, Transfer Frequency and Transfer Date and/or Transfer Duration (for recurring transfers) and add a Memo (Optional)
- Online Only: Click Preview Transfer then Click Submit
Mobile App: Click Continue
Direct Deposit from Employers
If you aren't already, you can have your paycheck deposited directly into your account. It's easy to enroll.
- Check with your employer to make sure direct deposit is available.
- Fill out a direct deposit form. Your employer will usually provide the form, or you can download one here.
- You will need your routing and account numbers, which you can find at the bottom of your checks. You can also find those numbers online when you are logged into online banking or by visiting a Huntington branch.
- Depending on your employer, you might be asked to provide a blank, voided check. Click here to learn how to void a check.
- Once the form is filled out, give it to your employer’s HR department.
