Huntington Alerts

What are Huntington alerts?

These are messages about your account(s) which may be delivered through text message, email message or push notifications. Huntington uses texts to communicate information to you, which are sent through SMS short codes.

  • 446622: Servicing Alerts. These are alerts that you receive about your account. Depending on the product and services, you may be notified about upcoming payments, 24-Hour Grace® and other alerts that you have opted into.
  • 49847 and 70650: Fraud Alerts. Huntington provides Confirm It fraud alerts that automatically notify you of suspicious activity on your credit and/or debit card accounts via text, email and/or automated phone call. You will not be charged for Confirm It texts.
  • 96712: Huntington Account Text Notifications. These are texts you may receive from Huntington in the event we have been trying to reach you and have been unsuccessful.

In addition to alerts, Huntington may also send you the following:

  • 446622: One-time messages. These are one-time passcodes sent to you at your request to provide certain services. They are only sent once.

Alerts are here to help you manage your account and receive information in the way you want to receive it and at the frequency you have determined.

How do I opt in to Huntington alerts?

You can enroll and manage alerts from The Hub. Log into your account and select the Alerts heading from the top navigation menu. Select Manage Alerts and follow the prompts. The types of alerts available may depend on the products that you have with us. Huntington offers a variety of alerts. Some alerts are only available for email.

Why opt in to alerts?

Huntington alerts are an important way of communicating information that may be important to you. For example, we may send alerts to confirm its really you, inform you if your account is in the 24-Hour Grace® window or of an upcoming payment.

What terms apply to alerts?

You can access the Online Services Agreement through online banking to view the terms and conditions applicable to alerts at any time.

How do I cancel alerts?

For Text and Call Messages

One-Time Passcodes/Messages. These are one-time passcodes/messages that we send you at your request and will not be sent more than once unless you request another one-time message.  Huntington will never send you a one-time call/text unless you request one.

Servicing Alerts: SMS texts from 446622: In response to your STOP message, you agree and consent that we or a third party acting on our behalf may send you a message confirming that you have elected to cancel. For help or information on these products, send HELP to 446622. You will never receive a message from us that asks you to send us any sensitive personal or financial information such as your social security number or your account number. If you ever receive such a request for sensitive personal or financial information, do not respond to the message and call us at (877) 932-2265 to report the incident. For additional assistance, contact customer service at (877) 932-2265.

Fraud Alerts: SMS texts from: 49847 and 70650. You can opt out of Confirm It texts and/or automated phone calls at any time. Opting out applies to your debit and credit card account(s) and all cards associated with that account. To opt out of receiving Confirm It texts, text STOP to 49847/70650. By texting STOP to 49847 or 70650, you agree to one additional confirmation message stating you have opted out and will no longer receive messages from Huntington Confirm It. For help, text HELP to 49847. You can also call us to opt out of automated phone call or text fraud alerts by calling (800) 480-2265.

Push Notifications

Push notifications can be stopped by following the prompts within our mobile app or through the settings of your mobile device.

Emails

To have access to online banking services, Huntington requires that you have an email address at all times to provide you with important updates. If you do not wish to receive emails, you will need to close your online banking profile.
