How to Set up Apple Pay®

Setting up Apple Pay is an easy process, but you’ll need to make sure you have the following before you begin:

  • An eligible Apple device (includes recent versions of iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch).
  • An Apple ID.
  • Current iOS software.
  • An approved card such as the Huntington Platinum Debit Card or a Huntington credit card. If you don't have a debit or credit card, you can open a checking account or apply for a credit card to get started.

How to Set up Apple Pay on Your iPhone

  1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app (if you don’t already have Apple Wallet, download it first from the app store).
  2. Click Add button, then Debit or Credit Card to add a new card.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Scan your card or add details manually.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Your bank or card issuer will verify that your card is eligible for Apple Pay.
  7. Once verified, click Next.
  8. You can then add up to eight cards to Apple Pay (optional), and select which card is your default card.

How to Set up Apple Pay on Your Apple Watch

  1. On your paired iPhone, open the Apple Watch App.
  2. In the My Watch tab, click Wallet & Apple Pay.
  3. Click Add button, then Debit or Credit Card to add a new card.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Scan your card or add details manually.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Your bank or card issuer will verify that your card is eligible for Apple Pay.
  8. Once verified, click Next.

How to Set up Apple Pay on Your Mac or iPad

  1. Open Wallet settings on your Mac or iPad. On your Mac with Touch ID, go to System Preferences > Wallet & Apple Pay. On your iPad, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.
  2. Click the Add button, then Debit or Credit Card to add a new card.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Follow the steps on the screen to add a card.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Your bank or card issuer will verify that your card is eligible for Apple Pay.
  7. Once verified, click Next.
