Union Commons Family and Union Commons Senior are two new adjacent construction tax credit properties located in Union Township, Ohio that will be developed, constructed, and managed by Elmington Capital Group and its affiliates. Huntington Community Impact Capital (CIC) proudly provided $33.3 million in low income housing tax credit (LIHTC) equity to the Family project, and $12.3 million in LIHTC equity to the Senior project. CIC was also the 45L investor.

Union Commons

Union Commons Family will consist of five residential buildings with 262 one, two, three, and four-bedroom units, and will be reserved for families earning 60% or less of area median income (AMI). Union Commons Senior will provide affordable living for seniors earning 60% or less of the AMI, and will consist of one residential building with 126 one- and two-bedroom units.

Both projects will also include a community room, business center, laundry facility, playground, exercise facility, picnic area, and paved walking path. They are situated on a 61-acre parcel and are part of a larger mixed-use development project that will introduce a conventional market rate class A multifamily development, a senior assisted living facility, and single family townhomes.
