About Michael

Michael Maeser is the Minnesota Regional President for Huntington Bank.

Michael joined the Private Bank at Huntington as the area executive for several regions in August of 2021. In his role, as an area director, and member of the Private Bank Operating Committee he had the responsibility for Minnesota and our Illinois, Wisconsin, Southern Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, and Colorado markets as well as our future expansion into new markets.

Huntington’s expansion and Michael’s leadership role are part of Huntington’s strategy to grow our customer base in several segments, including full-service commercial and consumer banking services, mortgage banking services, automobile financing, equipment leasing, investment management, trust services, brokerage services, insurance, and other financial products and services by leveraging new markets and Huntington’s broad product and services offering.

Prior to joining Huntington, Michael previously served as the longtime leader of Wells Fargo’s wealth-management business in the Twin Cities and surrounding states. He joined Wells Fargo in 1993 and assumed many wealth-management leadership responsibilities over the years, most recently serving as regional managing director of its wealth management group. Michael also worked at Citicorp Investment Services where he served as a regional sales manager. He has been in the financial services industry from more than 35 years.

Michael and his wife Mary are lifelong Twin Cities residents and have three adult children. Michael received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota. He holds several industries licenses and is currently a board member of the Minnesota Orchestra, as well as the Minnesota Business Partnership. He previously served on the boards of Perspectives, Inc., Greater Twin Cities United Way and Minnesota Children’s Theatre Company, as well as coached youth athletics in their Community Athletics Associations.
