About Chad
Chad Prather is president of Huntington’s West Virginia Region.
Prather leads the diverse team of financial services professionals at Huntington Bank who are committed to serving consumers, businesses and communities across West Virginia.
Prather joined Huntington in 2006 and has held a variety of progressive positions in business and commercial banking. He was named regional president in 2018, becoming the youngest regional president in the company’s history.
Prather is active in the community serving as a board member for Leadership WV, Mountaineer Food Bank, West Virginia Bankers Association, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce and Hott Brown Foundation.
He previously served as chair of Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce board and served as a board member for Junior Achievement of WV, Morgantown Area Economic Partnership and United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.
He chaired the 2017 Morgantown United Way Campaign and was the recipient of the 2017 United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties Community Leader Award. Prather was named a 2022 West Virginia Executive Sharp Shooter for his community service and philanthropic efforts.
Prather earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Marshall University. Prather lives in Hurricane with his wife, Gretchen, and their three children.
