Michael W. Newbold is president of Huntington's Central Indiana Region, headquartered in Indianapolis.Newbold joined Huntington Bank as president of the Central Indiana Region following Huntington's 2007 merger with Sky Financial Group, where he previously served as Sky Bank's Indiana regional president. Prior to his affiliation with Sky Financial, Newbold served in executive roles at Union Federal Bank and Bank One in both consumer and commercial banking.
Newbold actively serves his community as a director of Develop Indy, a director of LYNX Capital Corporation, board chair of the Indiana Community Business Credit Corporation, director and past chairman of The Children's Bureau, a director of the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, and a director of the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center Foundation. Newbold also serves as a member of the Board of Public Works for the City of Greenwood, Indiana.
Newbold earned a bachelor’s degree at Ball State University, and also graduated from The Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
