Have questions about what's happening? We're here to help. Below are answers to some common questions.

About Us

Founded in 1866, Huntington Bank is a top 10 U.S. regional bank headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.

Huntington Bank has been serving customers and communities in Texas since 2009, with the introduction of equipment finance and corporate banking. Since then, Huntington has brought its healthcare, asset-based lending, SBA lending1, and Capstone2 investment banking capabilities to Texas and, in 2024, added Commercial middle market teams in Dallas and Houston.

We offer consumers, small and middle-market businesses, corporations, municipalities and other organizations a comprehensive suite of banking, payments, wealth management3, and risk management products and services, along with a suite of mobile and online banking tools.

What to expect as a Veritex Bank customer

Huntington Bank is committed to maintaining Veritex Bank’s branch presence. In 2026, branches will transition to Huntington Bank branding.

Veritex Bank and Huntington Bank are committed to making sure this will be a seamless transition for all our customers. For now, it is business as usual.

Please continue to use your same checks, cards and accounts as you always have, and continue to use Veritex Bank branches, ATMs, and digital banking apps for your banking needs.

Veritex Bank will continue to process loan applications, fund commitments, service loans, and support you throughout the transition.

We are working toward a January 2026 integration of our two companies. At that time, your accounts will be aligned with Huntington Bank products. We will provide you with all the information you will need in advance.

Yes, continue to make payments to the same account number and mailing address per the terms of your loan agreement(s).

Loan applications will continue to be processed and should not be delayed as a result of Veritex Bank becoming part of Huntington Bank.

Your points of contact remain the same. Please continue to work with your local bankers as usual.

Yes. Once combined, the company will operate under the Huntington Bank name and brand.

Contact the same people you contact today. You can reach out to your banking team or Relationship Manager, stop by a Veritex Bank branch, or call customer support at (833) 837-4839.

Banking & Services Integration

Please continue banking as usual as we work to combine the companies.

Veritex Bank will continue to process loan applications, fund commitments, and conduct all other banking operations largely as they do every day.

Additionally, Veritex Bank branches, ATMs, loan offices, bankers and Relationship Managers will continue to serve customers.

We are working toward a January 2026 systems conversion at which time Veritex Bank accounts will be aligned with Huntington Bank accounts and the combined organization will operate under the Huntington Bank brand.

Veritex Bank and Huntington Bank share a people-first approach to banking. As a combined institution, Huntington Bank and Veritex Bank can do even more to serve our customers and communities and to promote growth and prosperity in Texas and beyond.

Veritex Bank is now part of Huntington Bank but will continue to operate independently until systems conversion, which is targeted for January 2026. Once combined, the company will operate under the Huntington Bank name and brand.

Veritex Bank and Huntington Bank share a people-first approach to banking and a deep commitment to supporting customers, colleagues and communities that you can continue to expect once the combination is complete.

Your deposits remain insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to the maximum extent permitted by law. The standard FDIC insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor (ownership category), per insured bank. Veritex Bank and Huntington Bank are now one bank for the purposes of calculating limits on deposit insurance. However, the FDIC has a special rule that allows a customer’s deposits to be considered as separately insured when two banks merge—as if the two banks are still operating separately—for at least six months. This means if you have accounts at both Veritex Bank and Huntington Bank as of October 20, 2025, FDIC coverage of your deposits will remain separate through April 20, 2026, or possibly longer for certificates of deposit (CDs), depending on maturity date. CDs that mature before, or on, April 20, 2026, will no longer be separately covered after maturity. A CD with a maturity date after April 20, 2026, will continue to be covered separately until it matures.
